Actor Will Poulter has been training hard to play Adam Warlock in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy 3 movie.

His appearance at Comic Con and some recent photographs have had fans excited about his transformation, where he will be playing the genetically engineered “perfect being”.

When asked about his training, he says he has to give credit to his team… the apparently did all the work and preparation, so all he did was literally “eat and train”.

He goes on to say that the team were supportive with both the physical and mental side to the transformation, as his restrictive diet impacted him socially. Apparently, Will had to miss a few social occasions and often felt a little disconnected from people during his preparation for the movie.

Will isn’t huge by modern day superhero standards. Think of the premier actors such as Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) as Black Adam, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Chris Evans as Captain America… the list goes on! However it’s the massive contrast in his physique and appearance that has really caught everyone’s attention.

Many people didn’t realise that Will Poulter was the same actor that starred as the goofy/awkward skinny teenager in “We’re the Millers”, or going further back as the cute kid in the Narnia movies. I’m probably hugely underselling Will here as he has been in a huge amount of really high profile movies! But the physical transformation of his physique and general appearance has been pretty astonishing for many.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is currently in test screenings at the time of writing this post, and I’m expecting a trailer to be released at some time in the near future, where no doubt we will get a better look at Adam Warlock (or maybe not given the secrecy around movies in the MCU). The movie is currently scheduled for release in theatres in May 2023.
